About the project
I led the design evolution of Vivint’s eCommerce platform—defining a scalable system that blends brand storytelling with performance-driven UX to help customers understand, customize, and buy smart home systems online.
The Challenge
Vivint’s eCommerce experience needed to reflect the same clarity and confidence as its sales and installation process. The challenge was to unify storytelling and transaction—creating an interface that felt human, not mechanical, while supporting the complexity of multi-product configurations and offers that constantly evolve.
My Approach
I partnered with product, marketing, and engineering teams to redesign the full eCommerce journey—from product detail and checkout flows to component-level design standards. I led the creation of a modular system that allowed teams to launch, test, and optimize pages rapidly, without sacrificing brand integrity. Each interaction, illustration, and motion cue was designed to build trust and make the process of buying a home security system feel effortless. I also helped establish design patterns that balanced dynamic pricing logic, personalization, and brand storytelling—making it possible for Vivint’s digital storefront to scale with the business.
The Impact
The new eCommerce framework transformed Vivint’s online shopping into a true brand experience—one that’s adaptive, measurable, and deeply aligned with how real customers explore and commit to smart home solutions. It became the foundation for all future digital conversion experiences across Vivint’s ecosystem.
